   ADASL Partnership News Minimize

The Georgia Soccer Development Foundation, owners and operators of the Georgia Sports Park, are happy to welcome the Atlanta District Amateur Soccer League as new provisional Program Partners starting Summer 2011.  The ADASL, the premier amateur soccer league in Georgia, is adding its fantastic organization to the park’s alliance of leading Metro-Atlanta based sports programs, alongside Concorde Fire Soccer Club and the Atlanta Flying Disc Club.
Thanks to the ADASL’s donated expansion funding, the park will be adding backstop netting behind all the goals, a wonderful improvement to the park that will add to the speed and enjoyment of matches and games at GSP.  No more hunting for balls in the creek!
The leadership of the park and the league will be working together to finalize the mutually beneficial partnership status with the goal of the ADASL becoming full Program Partners during the next two years.  When the ADASL is able to donate the remaining funds necessary to becomes full Program Partners, that development funding (with some additional help) will see the creation of the much needed classroom (plus bathrooms, concessions, office) building that will facilitate local after school programs and greatly further GSP’s mission to improve people’s lives.
For more information on GSP, the ADASL, or other sports programs at the park, please visit our website www.georgiasportspark.com.  Enjoy the park!

   AFDC Partnership News Minimize

The Atlanta Flying Disc Club (AFDC) and Georgia Sports Park (GSP) unite to form strong partnership in South Fulton County.  Previously named, Georgia Soccer Park, that name implied the park only provides for soccer related programs, but in reality soccer is only one of many sports played on the wonderful fields of GSP.  The AFDC decided to take their involvement with the Park a step further and became a park partner by making a financial contribution that fully funded the development of GSP's sixth field, which opened in September 2009.

The AFDC is dedicated to promoting the game of Ultimate in Atlanta.  The AFDC is a....

GSP is home to a diverse mix of soccer programs as well as other sporting events, tournaments and leagues.  In addition to soccer programs, GSP has also hosts USA Rugby 7s, AFDC and USA Ultimate Frisbee, Flag Football, Kickball, USA Lacrosse, Cricket, Gaelic Football, and various special events.  GSP's tenant youth soccer programs and tournaments include the USSF National Development Academy, USYSA Region III Premier League, the Atlanta Cup, Norcross Nike Cup, Concorde Fire Challenge Cups, Cobb FC Classic, Copita Alianza, Copa Jarritos, and Liga Metropolitana and GYSA leagues.  Our tenant adult soccer programs include the Liga Metropolitana and the Atlanta District Amateur Soccer League.

The high level soccer programs compliment the recreational programs and charitable outreach programs that involve some of South Fulton and Southwest Atlanta's disadvantaged youth.  GSP is happy to provide free field space to these wonderful programs, including America Scores and Soccer in the Streets, and hopes to raise the funds needed to build an on-site study hall/classroom to house the educational portions of these after-school programs soon.

America SCORES Cup - Monday, March 15, 2010

As part of GSP's initiative of community outreach, we are hosting the America SCORES Cup on Saturday, April 24th.  This is a 7v7 corporate fundraising soccer tournament benefitting America SCORES Atlanta, the only non-profit organization that uses soccer to inspire literacy and health among inner-city youth.

America SCORES Atlanta helps in educating children through after-school programs in soccer, literacy, and service-learning.  By participating in a team sport the children learn the importance of team work, leadership, conflict resolution, and a healthy active lifestyle.

   $1 Parking Fee Minimize
GSP is privately owned, it is not a public park.

GSP requires all cars to stop before entering the gate.
Except for referees, there is a $1/car  per day parking fee.

We are committed to the safety and enjoyment of our visitors.  This parking fee is part of a system that works to deter theft at the park.  While this system is not perfect, it has shown tremendous results in keeping your car and valuables safer.  We appreciate your cooperation and contributions.

Please be aware that the park is not responsible for loss or damage to your property.  Please secure your valuables.

Thank you and enjoy the park.
